If applying to Denison I suggest you visit the campus. Though I don't participate in Greek Life, I think that the fact that it is non-residential (pledges don't live in houses, as at traditional schools) puts a damper of a lot of what Greek Life is about, and discourages membership. !- you won't do well if you pick ANY school just by looking at the brochures. There are usually concerts and plays going on, and you can always get involved in movie nights (whether they're in your dorm or Slayter or the campus commons), and there are plenty of clubs and activities to get involved with. The best thing about Denison is the way it looks. There's nothing entertaining to do at Denison unless you like to be constantly wasted or want to drive 30 miles to Columbus. Even despite hiccups or some aspects that are not my favorite, I wouldn't trade this school for any other. People are really nice, and when you walk into town, they're willing to say hello as they pass you on the sidewalk. I have never been around such friendly people before and the academics are challenging but very manageable.
